So, even though finding the nearest notary was pretty cheap, it got expensive quickly when you realized that time is money. So, having everyone take off from work early wouldn’t even work a lot of the time. You see, there are several types of business that offer notary services, but they often have long lunch breaks and close early. You quickly found out how hard it is to get everyone together at the same time and same place, and actually have a notary that is open at that time. This system worked great, except for the actual getting the documents notarized part. You might go to the local bank, or search the yellow pages for the nearest notary to you. In fact, a friend who was a notary was a boon to most people. People used to go to great lengths to get documents notarized. They take the hassle out of arranging notary services for yourself or your business. You see, the nearest notary to you is always going to be the notary that will come to you, also known as a mobile notary. There is also a new notary, an online notary, that may be available for certain signings. The answer is simpler than you may think. Please note that if you wish for us to notarize the self-proving affidavit, you must provide your own witnesses.What is the easiest way to find the nearest notary? We will NOT notarize wills however, we will notarize the self-proving affidavit often attached to a will that is signed by two witnesses. However, we are not legal professionals and we are unable to provide legal advice, so if you need a certified copy of a document, you should always consult with the organization or business receiving the document for detailed instructions specific to the State of New York. As an alternative, we are able to notarize your signature on a statement written by yourself in which you certify the accuracy of the copy. However, Notary Publics in New York State are not authorized to certify that a copy of a document is a “true copy” of the original.
